AN ATTEMPT TO IMPLODE/EXPLODE THE WHITE CUBE

Last week James Carpenter and Davidson Norris opened the first part of RAM Gallery`s 20th anniversary exhibition, curated by Rolf Gerstlauer.

Every week until the 14th of february, there will be a new addition to the exhibition. Check the program here. I think this will be very nice to follow!

OLVE SANDE: VOYAGE AROUND MY ROOM

” When I travel through my room, I rarely follow a straight line: I go from the table towards a picture hanging in a corner; from there, I set out obliquely towards the door; but even though, when I begin, it really is my intention to go there, if I happen to meet my armchair en route, I don’t think twice about it, and settle down in it without further ado.”

The first little (or actually quite big in terms of scale) steps towards a new citystructure at Porte de la Chapelle.

On our studytrip we got introduced to a french master that I didn`t know much of from before; FERNAND POUILLON.

His housingprojects in Paris and Marseille, was made in a time where the need for housing was the biggest social issue in France. Turning necessity into achievement, by 1961 Pouillon had already designed remarkable housing estates in the Parisian suburbs of Pantin, Montrouge, Boulogne-Billancourt and Meudon-la-Forêt.

High quality living spaces and remarkable examples of architectural production!
